Within the project, Junyao investigated how social media and digital platforms reshape public participation, discourse formation, networked power, and planning governance in China.</p> <p>His work combined social media data, complex network analysis, large-scale text analysis, interviews, field research, and agent-based modelling. The project provided the foundation for his doctoral thesis and a series of publications on digital participation, network power, framing, and inequalities in collaborative planning.</p>
