CoChina examines collaborative planning, public spheres, and power relations in authoritarian and rapidly digitalising urban contexts.
Contribution
Within the project, Junyao investigated how social media and digital platforms reshape public participation, discourse formation, networked power, and planning governance in China. His work combined social media data, complex network analysis, large scale text analysis, interviews, field research, and agent based modelling. The project provided the foundation for his doctoral thesis and publications on digital participation, network power, framing, and inequalities in collaborative planning.
