Complex network analysis provides a common language for systems composed of interdependent actors, places, organisations, or flows. Across Junyao He’s research, the central concern is how relational structure shapes access, influence, mobility, and inequality.

Analytical dimensions

Relevant dimensions include centrality, hierarchy, reciprocity, community structure, reach, diversity, spatial distance, concentration, assortativity, and temporal evolution.

Network analysis can be combined with spatial econometrics, causal inference, agent based modelling, and interpretable machine learning.
